What are your responsibilities at The HR Consultant?
Chief Awesome Officer – making sure our team and our clients are well cared for. Delivering respectful workplace training to our national client base; conducting third-party harassment and discrimination investigations; managing OFCCP audits.
What strengths do you bring to the team?
Understanding the business side of Human Resources balanced with the human side. Having been an EEOC Investigator combined with Fortune 200 HR experience, I’m able to see things from both sides of the table to develop compliant and practical solutions.
How long have you worked in human resources?
28 Years (yikes)
What makes you passionate about the work The HR Consultant does?
Creating real-world solutions to tough compliance problems with the goal of the win-win. I love that we provide the kind of customer service that routinely turns clients into friends.
What are your favorite client problems to solve?
Give me a good she said/he said sexual harassment complaint and I will get to the bottom of it.
What sets The HR Consultant apart?
We are seasoned HR professionals with both government and business experience. We bring practical solutions that minimize risk but allow businesses to do what they do best.
What are your favorite activities outside of work?
Pilates, walking, biking, traveling, and reading.
How do you unwind after a long day of solving HR headaches?
Snuggle up with a good book or Words With Friends and a cup of tea. Depending on the kind of day, it may include a shot of something.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
Someplace I’ve never been before. Italy has been my favorite place to visit so far. Australia is up next.
What three items would you take to a desert island?
There has to be music in my life – if this was a genie granting wishes, just give me Dave Grohl as a travel companion. My iPhone (so hopefully there is WIFI – this would take care of taking pictures, reading, etc.) and some Sunscreen.
